A hybrid battery report checks battery sections, temperatures, cooling and warning codes. It helps you understand the battery's condition during the test, but it cannot give an exact remaining lifetime.
What the battery report checks
- Voltage differences between battery sections may show an imbalance
- The test checks whether voltage differences change while the battery is working
- Battery temperatures can show whether some sections are getting hotter than others
- The cooling fan and air intake are checked for visible maintenance problems
- Hybrid warning codes show faults recorded by the vehicle computer
- Charging behaviour, engine condition and the rest of the vehicle are checked together
The report cannot predict exact battery life.
Battery behaviour changes with charge level, temperature, load, recent driving and vehicle design. A health report records available indicators at the inspection time; it is not a lifetime guarantee.
